Location | Belfast

In this role, you will be responsible for Sensoteq's new generation of hardware products. You will anticipate the needs of the customer through constant engagement with end users and experts in the field. Communicating the roadmap to both the executive and creative teams is achieved by writing clear user stories and helping the team to refine these further.


Sensoteq designs and develops both software and hardware products that work together, giving this Product Owner a unique opportunity to influence the whole product chain. You will have ample opportunity to learn and hone a wide range of skills, and personal growth is a certainty. If there is appropriate commercial awareness and desire, this role could transition into a Product Manager.

Key Job Functions
  • Own Sensoteq's next generation of sensing products

  • Master the domain knowledge within the company

  • Gather feedback from customers to ensure our products are solving their problems

  • Develop the product roadmap in line with commercial objectives

  • Work closely with other product owners to ensure consistency in our product offering

  • Drive the product development by writing user stories and refining the backlog

  • Continual improvement of the product development process

  • Share knowledge of the product through training sessions and product literature

  • Travel to customers to help understand their needs.



Essential Criteria
  • Degree-level qualification in software, engineering, business, or similar

  • 5+ years in product ownership, system engineering, project management or a similar role.

  • Demonstrable product success

  • Experience with hardware products

  • Expectation of hybrid working

  • Occasional travel (in line with business and individual needs)

  • Must have the right-to-work in the UK

  • Deep technical literary

  • Data and metric-driven decision making

  • Excellent communicator in both verbal and written communication

  • Ability to break down complex problems

  • Good commercial awareness

  • Able to define product market fit

  • Design experience of hardware, firmware or software

  • Knowledge of plant, factory, mining or industrial settings
