Technical Sales Engineer - UK & Ireland


As Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting our Customers in your assigned region, using effective sales strategies to increase repeat business of existing customers and to win new clients. You will work collaboratively with our the Regional Team and wider Business Development Team within Sensoteq, helping to grow our Brand and Customer-base within your market.









Key Job Functions
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.

  • Achieve assigned revenue targets and business objectives, using sales craft and expertise to win new customer accounts and grow existing customer accounts

  • Ensure high customer retention levels and timely payments of annual software subscriptions

  • Communicate the technical features and benefits of Sensoteq's solutions to potential clients.

  • Conduct on-site installations of Sensoteq systems, ensuring proper setup and functionality.

  • Provide technical support to customers during and after the sales process.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborating with internal teams when required.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, fostering positive relationships.

  • Conduct training sessions to educate customers on system usage and capabilities.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance product offerings based on customer feedback.

  • Maintain up-to-date product forecasts for large client accounts and communicate these to the Company supply chain on a regular basis, reviewing when necessary if demand significantly exceeds or falls short of estimates.

  • Maximise sales through building and maintaining strong customer relationships.

  • Respond to inbound enquiries arising from trade shows, website contact or other, arranging initial discovery call and ultimately securing conversion to new business for the Company.

  • Build Brand reputation by working closely with Customers to attain feedback and client testimonials which can be used to drive new business.

  • Travel to meet with Customers or visit site as required to provide support and secure new business.




Essential Criteria
  • Degree educated, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong customer relationships and navigate a variety of audiences and industries, across all sales channels.

  • Proven experience in Vibration Analysis, technical sales, and system installations.

  • Strong understanding of PdM experience; or 1 year at a Technical Education provider

  • Knowledge of machinery fundamentals.

  • Ability to provide effective technical support and training to customers.

  • Based in Ireland, with willingness to travel throughout the United Kingdom.

  • Self-motivated with a track record of exceeding business targets, and experience of establishing and maintaining successful customer partnerships.

  • Ability to work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with excellent time management skills.




Desirable Criteria
  • Industry experience in electronics, engineering, or a key market Sector.

  • Passion for delivering excellent service and positively impacting customers.
