Welcome to our in-depth guide to Analytix Management — your go-to platform for effortlessly setting up machines, sensors, and gateways. In this post, we’ll walk you through the core features designed to make installation smooth, efficient, and hassle-free.

In our previous guide, we covered the prerequisites for the OnSite app. Now, we'll delve into the core feature of the OnSite application - Analytix Management. The function allows a user to complete the soft installation components alongside the physical installation.

The recommended flow begins with our site. We want to make sure that the site is already created for you in Analytix and we recommend checking this before you arrive on site. If your site is available on the OnSite app, it will appear when searched for.

We have two breakaway options that you'll be working with

  • Machines

  • Gateways

Similar to setting up a site, we want to ensure that any gateways are already allocated to you as an installer. This allows you to then assign them to the correct site during installation.

Adding Machines

Adding a machine is a straightforward process. Simply select the plus (+) icon in the bottom right-hand corner and follow the on-screen steps.

These steps will include manual text inputs and the option to upload recommended installation images. These typically include:

  • A clear picture of the machine’s nameplate

  • A photo of the entire asset

  • Any supporting documentation relevant to the machine

Note: You do not need to add sensor installation images at this stage — that will be handled in the sensor setup section.

Before completing the installation, ensure that the gateway is set up correctly for either a Kappa or Tau sensor, depending on your application. Once these two assets are set up, we can begin to add our sensors.

Setting Up Sensors

Once your machines and gateways are configured, you can move on to setting up the sensors.

From a machine perspective, you can select or edit sensors using the OnSite App. The app interface is intuitive, featuring dropdown menus, manual input fields, and support for installation images.

These images should specifically show:

  • How the sensor is mounted

  • The immediate surroundings of the sensor

There’s no need to capture the full machine in these images — focus only on the sensor area.

So we don't have to worry about the entire machine when we're adding images here.

From a gateway perspective, make sure that:

  • The gateway is within the correct operational range

  • It’s properly calibrated for either a Kappa or Tau sensor

To add a new sensor, select the plus (+) icon in the bottom right-hand corner. Alternatively, select an existing sensor to edit its parameters.

Reminder: Even after installation, you can still edit sensor data via the OnSite App, as long as you have the correct privileges within Analytix.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the items above, contact Sensoteq Customer Support before attending the site.
